Please pray for Scott and Jackie

Hello friends,

This is just a quick note to ask you to pray for our friends, Scott and Jackie as they are serving in Central Europe this year.  Pray for their health and for the relationships that they will build over the course of the year.

I just got back from a collegeite conference this past weekend and it was incredible.  The state collegeite leaders are calling for students, campus ministers, and leaders to commit to 21 days of prayer and fasting for the college campuses in Kentucky.  The day is ripe for revival but our hearts must be pursuing holiness and righteousness to see it happen.

Take care,
Jeremy

We're home!  Laura and I returned to the States during the middle of July.  It's been a wonderful year.  Please continue to remember our friends and partners in the ministry in prayer...Wojtek & Agnieszka and their ministry at Second Baptist Church in Poland.

It's been a great week!  Previously, I was able to meet with some teenagers to play soccer and basketball.  We had a great time.  During our time together, I shared with them the gospel message.  I know that not all of the teenagers I've been able to spend time with are believers.  I hope that this message will be in their hearts and minds as we continue to meet.  We decided to continue this tradition and meet once a week to play soccer and have a Bible Study/devotional.  Please pray for these meetings and our time together.

Laura and I attended a conference this past weekend.  It was held in a very beautiful town just a couple of miles from the Czech border.  It was a conference on the Experiencing God study by Blackaby.  It was actually the first time I've been through the adult study, I had been through the youth study before.  I was able to think about a lot of what was taught and just meditate over it through the weekend.  It was a refreshing time for both of us.  The conference was also lead by two guys from America.  It was great to get to hang out with them during the weekend as well.

This weekend is the manifest concert.  Mate O is playing...he's an incredible Worship leader who has just released a CD and will be leading worship for students (both high school and university) in the city.

The Kentucky team is only three weeks away from beginning their mission trip here in the city, please pray for them as they prepare and fundraise for the trip.

Hi!  Tomorrow, I have an English Club with university students.  Also, in the morning I'm going to be playing basketball with some teenagers...some are not believers and we will be having a devotional time.  Pray that those who are not believers will respond to the devotional in a good way.

This weekend we have a conference that is in English!  That's always good!

Yes, I do believe it is time for an update.  I was able to meet with the foreign exchange students...we went to have coffee and spent over an hour just talking and getting to know each other.  It was a great opportunity to build some contacts and let them in on what Laura and I are doing here.  That question ("What are you doing here?") always comes up in a normal conversation.  For instance, just recently I was at McDonalds (although I'm afraid to admit I was eating at a McDonalds with all this good authentic food) and it just happens to be one that Laura and I frequent to often.  The guy behind the counter waves at me now when I come in.  After commenting on my polish, which he says he's seen positive progression in (Thank you Lord, it is not an easy language), he finally asked me what I was doing in Poland.  I was able to share with him our relationship with the church and the things that we have been doing.

Laura's movie night with the students at Eagle went great.  There were several students in attendance.  We've been in English Clubs this week and this evening I'm taking the teenagers bowling for some fellowship.  We've been able to begin an English Club for high school students.  There has been a lot of interest in this English Club so hopefully we'll be able to meet on a regular basis.  Kids Klub is going well.  We're looking for a leader at this time to take over once Laura and I leave this summer.  Please pray for this...our desire is to see a Polish native fulfill this role.  Also, there will need to be a leader to take over for the teenagers as well.  Please pray that God will provide in this area.

We will keep the updates coming.
